WHY DOES IT TAKE A FULL SEMESTER?

The Purpose Program is 16 weeks in length – the same as a full length college course – for a reason.

Our experience has shown that people cannot achieve goals, and shift habits and mindsets, in a few sessions. The Purpose Program supports participants in going beyond dabbling to transforming the way they approach their lives.

MONTH ONE: We begin slowly, using inventories, assessments and exercises to help make the invisible visible. We shine a light on hidden habits and choices that affect our wellbeing. We remind ourselves that “resilience is in our DNA” and start to explore the possibility that we can achieve more than we imagine.

MONTH TWO: As we gain courage and momentum, we begin to stretch our resilience muscles by trying out new practices and expanding our support systems. We learn about the science of sustainable habit formation, create a menu of nurturing activities, and explore the power of mindful mornings. We plant seeds of hope and optimism and care for the seedlings that begin to emerge.

MONTH THREE: As we become more confident, we begin to tackle our weeds: the people and commitments that drain us. We work to create healthy boundaries and prune in order to make room for what matters most. This month takes some stamina and courage, and we support each other through connection, encouragement and humor. We enter the fourth month freer, lighter, and bolder.

MONTH FOUR: As we head toward the home stretch, we feel our power growing. We have gained skills, knowledge, wisdom, and support to tackle some tough stuff. This month, we gather all we have created and leap in the direction of long buried dreams and goals. We support each in taking bold steps toward our bucket list items and things we have always put off. We end on a note of exuberance, positivity, and exhilaration, ready to launch into the next phase of our lives re-charged and re-silient.
